On Thursday, March 19, the artillery battery that Greece has sent to Saudi Arabia to guard and operate the Patriot missile systems took direct part in the war of the imperialists and Zionists — Trump and Netanyahu — against Iran.
“The Greek Patriot battery in Saudi Arabia shot down two ballistic missiles coming from Iran and heading toward refineries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, announced, boastfully, Mitsotakis’s Minister of Defense, N. Dendias. He added that [the Greek military force in Saudi Arabia] “indirectly but clearly protects the living standards of Greek and European citizens.”
There could be no cruder lie. Capitalist Greece protects neither the standard of living of the Greek people nor that of the peoples of Europe. It is taking part, as a war-hound, in the imperialist-Zionist war of the corrupt “Epstein alliance” of Trump and Netanyahu against Iran. It is participating within the framework of the international imperialist NATO initiative, the “Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept” in support of the air defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is defending the reactionary feudal-capitalist Saudi dynasty, the interests of the oil companies and the shipowners. It is defending imperialist interests in controlling the productive resources -oil and natural gas- of the Middle East / West Asia, and the profits of the oil magnates and shipowners. It is defending the profits of Vardinogiannis and Aramco, as well as the Greek pirate shipowners who, by putting the lives of seafarers in mortal danger, transport oil by tanker through the war zone.
As for the peoples of Greece and Europe, they are already paying the price through the soaring increase in fuel costs and the inflation that is once again galloping ahead. And the danger is that they will pay with the blood of their children for participation in the U.S.-Israel war against Iran — and against the other countries targeted by the mad Caligula of the White House, who is opening the gates of hell to a Third World War. Of course, this is not simply a matter of one deranged leader — it is the madness of imperialist capitalism in its insoluble crisis and decay.
The people -the peoples- and the working class must overthrow, through revolution, these dogs of war. The enemy is not in Iran. It is in our own country. By overthrowing Mitsotakis in Greece, his government, and every bourgeois government of war now being cooked up, since both the government and the opposition have lost all credibility, we strike a blow against Greek and international fascists, against the mystical Evangelists of MAGA and the so-called Christian Zionism.
The Greek Patriot battery must be withdrawn from Saudi Arabia immediately.
The war frigates must be brought back at once from the Red Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean.
Shut down the bases of death in Greece and Cyprus, which from the very beginning have played an active role in the war against Iran, Lebanon, and the occupied Palestine.
